Part 3 of 8 in Our Values Series

Equipping leaders to transform communities through truth, tools, and training that multiply Kingdom impact.

Part 3 of 8 in Our Values Series

Empowerment happens when truth is revealed and people have the tools to use it.

Not just in their ministry. Not just in their church.

In their homes.

In their workplaces.

In their communities.

That’s what we mean by empowerment at EmPowered Living. And we believe you understand this value deeply.

It’s about equipping people to lead.

You don’t want to be the hero. You want to empower others to transform their own communities.

That’s the value we share. That’s why we’re partners.

What Empowerment Really Means

Empowerment isn’t just about the Holy Spirit—though He’s absolutely part of it.

We believe in the continuation of the gifts of the Spirit. We believe in seeing God use His power through us for the building of the Kingdom.

But empowerment is also about equipping individuals to take what they’ve learned and use it for the glory of God.

It’s about giving them:

  • Truth that transforms them

  • Tools to apply that truth

  • Training to multiply it in others

It’s not just head knowledge. It’s not just spiritual experience.

It’s transformational truth that transforms them—and then transforms their churches, homes, and communities.

You’ve experienced this yourself.

Someone empowered you.

Someone gave you tools, not just information.

Someone equipped you to lead, not just follow.

That’s why you get this. That’s why you partner with us.

A Story: Pastor Mark Takes It to the Church

Pastor Mark attended our Bible School intensive. He learned how to break down Scripture in small groups—how to ask the right questions, how to facilitate discussion, how to help people discover truth together.

He was empowered.

Not just with information. Not just with a new technique.

He was empowered because he now knew how to do something he’d never been able to do before.

And here’s what happened next:

He took it straight to his church.

In the middle of the Sunday service, Pastor Mark said, “We’re going to break into small groups. Here’s the passage we’re reading. Here are the questions we’re discussing.”

And the church came alive.

People who had been passive listeners became active participants.

They read Scripture together.

They discussed it.

They discovered truth for themselves.

Pastor Mark couldn’t get them to stop and come back to the main service.

They were so engaged, so hungry, so empowered by what they were discovering in God’s Word.

From One Pastor to an Entire Church

Do you see what happened?

With your help, Pastor Mark was empowered. And Pastor Mark empowered his church.

You gave him tools. And he multiplied them.

Now his church is empowered. And those church members will go into their homes, their workplaces, their communities—and they’ll multiply what they’ve learned.

That’s empowerment.

That’s multiplication.

That’s Kingdom building.

And we believe you understand this instinctively. You want to empower others to lead.

That’s the value we share.

This Value Shapes Everything We Do

This value—empowerment—shapes every part of EmPowered Living:

✓ Our teaching model equips pastors to teach others, not just receive from us

✓ Our curriculum includes practical skills (farming, business, entrepreneurship) alongside theology

✓ Our approach is “train the trainer”—we multiply leaders, not create dependency

✓ Our success is measured by what pastors do after we leave, not just while we’re there

Together, we empower, equip, and multiply.

And then we step back and watch God work through the people we’ve empowered.

Just like Pastor Mark, who took what he learned and empowered his entire church.

VALUE #3: EMPOWERMENTWe equip others to lead, not create dependency.

Give tools, not just information.

Multiply leaders who transform their communities.

You value this too.
