Discover how Biblical truth transforms lives and breaks the cycle of bad theology in Kenya's churches.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

God declares in the Old Testament that He is truth.

Jesus calls the Holy Spirit “the Spirit of truth.”

In the fullness of the Godhead—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—truth is foundational to their very nature.

And here’s what’s so exciting: The God we serve is a God who cannot lie.

He says it over and over again.

He only speaks truth.

He loves out of truth.

And His Word is the Word of truth.

You value truth the same way we do.

Like you, we believe God’s Word is trustworthy.

Like you, we believe sound doctrine matters.

Like you, we believe truth sets people free.

That’s why we’re partners. We share this value.

What Happens When Truth Is Taught

On our last trip to Kenya, we watched truth transform lives in real time.

When Pastor Lawrence taught one-on-one discipleship, students paired up and shared their testimonies with each other. Then they went to Scripture together.

When Dr. Melissa taught in small groups, students broke open God’s Word and discussed it—and they didn’t want to stop.

They had a revelation: The Word is full of truth, and it changes them.

It changed their relationship with God. It changed their relationships with one another.

And now they want to live it. They want to put truth into practice in their daily lives.

You know exactly what that feels like. You’ve experienced the power of God’s Word in your own life. You’ve seen how truth transforms.

That’s the value we share.

Breaking the Pattern of Lies

But here’s what we’ve also seen over 14 years: There’s a lot of bad teaching out there.

A lot of superstition.

A lot of bad theology.

A lot of lies masquerading as truth.

And when we bring the truth of sound theology—when we break the pattern of lies with the Word of God and sound doctrine—there’s freedom.

People are set free.

From Condemnation to Grace

We’ve had pastors who were trapped in legalism. All they knew how to preach were harsh, condemning sermons.

That’s what they’d been taught.

That’s what they’d heard.

That’s all they knew.

But when they are taught the truth of grace—when they learn to bless others instead of beat them up—there is breakthrough.

They learn to say, “God bless you.”

They learn to preach grace and love instead of harshness and condemnation.

And it transforms their churches.

People start coming to church because they know they won’t be beat up when they show up. They know they’ll be built up.

Truth—sound doctrine, rightly taught—set them free.

And we’ve seen this change happen in churches all over the region through the years.

Speaking the Truth in Love

This is what Ephesians 4:15 calls us to: “Speaking the truth in love.”

Not just truth. Not just love.

Both.

Truth without love is harsh and condemning.

Love without truth is shallow and powerless.

But truth spoken in love? That transforms lives.

That’s what we demonstrate to these pastors. That’s what they now demonstrate in their churches.

You live this way too.

You don’t compromise truth for the sake of being nice. But you don’t wield truth like a weapon either.

You speak the truth in love.

That’s the value we share.

Why This Value Matters

When we’re committed to truth—God’s truth, revealed in His Word—everything changes.

We don’t teach what’s popular. We teach what’s true.

We don’t water down the Gospel to make it more palatable. We proclaim it faithfully.

We don’t let culture dictate our theology. We let Scripture shape our worldview.

And we equip pastors to do the same.

Because when pastors are grounded in truth, they can:

  • Break the cycle of bad theology in their communities

  • Set people free from legalism and condemnation

  • Preach grace without compromising holiness

  • Build churches where people encounter the living God

Truth sets people free. And we believe you know that as deeply as we do.

We don’t just teach information. We teach transformation through truth.

You value this too. You wouldn’t partner with a ministry that compromised truth or taught shallow theology.

You want pastors equipped with sound doctrine.

That’s why we’re partners.

Thank You for Valuing Truth With Us

When you partner with EmPowered Living, you’re saying: “I value truth too.”

You’re saying that sound doctrine matters.

You’re saying that pastors deserve to be equipped with Biblical theology, not cultural superstition.

You’re saying that churches should be places where truth sets people free, not beats them down.

You’re saying that God’s Word is the foundation for everything.

We share this value. We live it together. And we’re building God’s Kingdom on the solid foundation of truth.

VALUE: TRUTHWe are committed to the authority and power of God’s Word. We believe truth—spoken in love—sets people free. We think you believe that too.
